Terms of Service
Last updated November 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you, or the organization you represent ("Customer"), and Stack Sixth Inc ("Stack Sixth", "we", "us") that governs your use of the Stack Sixth website and service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Stack Sixth helps organizations discover, track and optimize the software they pay for. It includes inventory management, usage and license analysis, renewal tracking, governance tools and savings recommendations.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and your workspace.
- If you sign up on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
- Workspace owners control who can join a workspace and what each member can do.
3. Subscriptions, trials and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page.
- Free trials convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from billing settings; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing.
- If a payment fails, we may limit your workspace to read-only access until it is resolved.
4. Connected apps
When you connect a third-party tool, you authorize Stack Sixth to access it on your behalf within the permissions you approve. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms. Stack Sixth is not responsible for third-party services, their availability or the accuracy of the data they provide.
5. Your data
You keep all rights to the data you put into or connect to the Service. You grant us a limited right to host, process and display it only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to share the data you provide.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, or to access data you are not authorized to access.
- Do not attempt to break, probe or bypass the Service's security, or interfere with other customers.
- Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not upload malware or content that infringes someone else's rights.
7. Recommendations and estimates
Savings figures, usage grades and recommendations are based on the evidence available to the Service and are estimates, not guarantees. You are responsible for your decisions about purchasing, renewing or cancelling software. Stack Sixth does not provide legal, tax or financial advice.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and content, belongs to Stack Sixth and its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may update features over time and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the Service.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create a security risk. After termination you can request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Stack Sixth will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Stack Sixth against claims arising from your data, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify account owners before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
